The exhibition entitled „In the beginning was the pink…” aims to introduce the bests of the Zsolnay objects to the visitors. All its pieces are unique: the handmade artefacts differ in their handles, their spout, their shape or in their glaze finish and colour. The Pink Zsolnay exhibition of Barnabás Winkler is a worthy match of László Gyugyi’s collection entitled the Golden Age of Zsolnay.

Pink Zsolnay
According to the description of the Zsolnay Family these household objects were produced in the factory starting in the middle of the 19th century. In the 1880s Vilmos Zsolnay renewed the glaze and from there on until the turn of the century the factory produced higher quantities with better quality. More »
